Fallen politicians told Russia not to recognize pseudo-referendum at Ukraine entrance

Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to US President Joe Biden, said the United States will always recognize this country only as part of Ukraine. Even the UN, the Secretary General of NATO or the President of the European Commission stood up for Ukraine.

It is absolutely clear that these pseudo-referendums will not be recognized because they find no support in international law and treaties drafted by the international community, Scholze is quoted by the DPA agency. We will never accept Russian efforts to legitimize the counter-initiative and brutal occupation of Ukrainian lands, said European Commission member Ursula von der Leyenov. EU diplomat Josep Borrell warned that people who succumb to pseudo-referendums will be held accountable. He said the EU will consider further restrictive measures against Russia.

All this is just an attempt at imperialist aggression, Scholz said of the planned referendums. He added that Ukraine must first fully defend the integrity and sovereignty of its country and its democracy. The UN fully affirms Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, said UN Secretary-General’s representative Farhan Haq.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter that the scheduled vote stemmed from the escalation of Putin’s war against Ukraine. According to French President Emmanuel Macron, the Russians are full of new provocations for referendums. They won’t have the first impact, the whole process is a parody, Macron said, adding that if the whole referendum on Ukraine’s accession wasn’t so tragic, it would be funny. He said he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in five days.

The truth is that the result (referendum) is decided by the Kremlin and not by the voting booth, Polish President Andrzej Duda said. According to him, Poland will not recognize the consequences. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the planned referendum an unacceptable escalation. We will never recognize them, he wrote on Twitter.

Donbas, Crimea, Kherson = Ukraine, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallasov wrote on Twitter. Estonian diplomat Urmas Reinsalu called on the European Union to declare the Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic, self-proclaimed forms at the entrance to Ukraine controlled by pro-Russian separatists, as terrorist organizations. Like Kallasov, he spoke out in favor of imposing further sanctions on Russia. What Russia is trying to do in Donetsk, Luhansk and other occupied countries…is just an attempt to hide its imperialist ambitions behind the illusion of democracy, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausda wrote on Twitter.

The Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic have announced that they will hold a referendum on accession to Russia between the 23rd and 27th. Such a popular vote should also be held in the Russian-occupied regions of the Ukrainian regions of Zporosk and Khersonsk. According to fallen agents, the annexation of these countries would give Russia a reason for general mobilization, as the Ukrainian counter-offensive could be interpreted as an invasion of Russian land. White House security adviser Sullivan said Moscow’s goal should be to conduct military recruitment in this country after the referendums. Recently, the Russian army has suffered significant losses, especially in the northeast of Ukraine, it has withdrawn from almost the entire Kharkov region.

After a similar referendum, Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine in 2014. The results of those polls are not internationally recognized.
