What the newspapers say

Chelsea’s new manager Graham Potter is interested in bringing the England forward Harry Kane for Chelsea, reports The Sun via Calciomercatoweb. The report claims that Potter could fund any potential deal offering the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku more money.

Former Tottenham and PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is scheduled for “surprise talks” with Ligue 1 side Nice, and is “in line to replace” the club’s “under pressure boss” Lucien Favre, the Daily Mail reported via FootMercato. The Argentine could return to the bench after being sacked by PSG in the summer despite leading the club to league glory.

Manchester United defense Lisandro Martinez and Tottenham defender Christian Romero both were stranded due to visa delays caused by the closure of the US Embassy following the Queen’s death, according to the Daily Mirror via TyC Sports. The two Argentine internationals were scheduled to travel to Miami for two friendlies, but the delays reportedly meant they couldn’t get their visas on time.
