France has supplied Ukraine with 73 tons of energy equipment and will continue deliveries

France will continue to support Ukraine in countering the aggressor, in particular it will continue to assist the Ukrainian energy sector in the form of equipment needed for reparations.

Ukrinform reports this press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“The French side will continue to assist the Ukrainian energy sector in the form of equipment needed for recovery work,” the ministry said, referring to France’s Energy Transition Minister Agnes Panier-Runachet.

In particular, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko today held an online meeting with the Minister of Energy Transition of the French Republic Agnes Pannier-Runachet. During the conversation, ministers paid special attention to the current situation at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, in particular the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, currently occupied by Russia – the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. The minister stressed that the continued shelling of the nuclear power plant poses a direct threat to nuclear safety, not only of Ukraine, but of the whole of Europe. The parties discussed the activities of the IAEA observation mission at the plant and also noted that the ZNPP should be demilitarized and disarmed as soon as possible.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Energy thanked his colleague for the assistance that the French side has already provided to the energy sector of Ukraine – about 73 tons of materials and equipment. The minister stressed that the right equipment helps Ukrainian energy companies to recover facilities and networks destroyed by Russian attacks.
