Scammers began sending notifications to summer residents about urgent fees for repairing infrastructure, cutting trees or paying off debts. This was stated in the press service of the Moshilovka platform of the Popular Front.
– Fraudsters send fake notices on behalf of the SNT Board of Directors (in instant messengers or via SMS) demanding urgent payment: targeted contributions for infrastructure repair, logging, or debt repayment. Experts explained that the number was fake to resemble the president’s communications.
Moshilovka noted that April is the time not only for the awakening of nature, but also for the intensification of fraudulent schemes. The beginning of the summer season, preparations for the May holidays, an advertising campaign and seasonal inspections of gas equipment create an ideal environment for fraudsters.
Experts recommend checking information about contributions personally with the head of the SNT, and not via SMS RIA Novosti.
