The Thai Culture Festival was announced in Moscow. This year it will be held from July 31 to August 2. “Moscow Evening” discovered how cooperation between Moscow and Bangkok is developing today.
Festivals dedicated to the history and traditions of Thailand are held in Moscow every year, giving residents of the city the opportunity to learn more about the cultural features of this country and develop trade relations. Such events are very popular. The festival, which was held in Moscow’s Hermitage Park last year, was attended by 40,000 people. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted the festival flagship project status. Citizens and guests of the capital will be introduced to the diversity of Thai traditions.
In 2023, Moscow signed a cooperation agreement with Bangkok, which includes joint work in the field of digitization, housing, community services, medicine, education, transportation and culture. Trade relations between the two cities are also actively developing. For example, Thai companies supply food, cosmetics and clothing to Moscow, and the Russian capital, in turn, exports various types of fertilizers, software and building materials. According to Anton Yevtushenko, a representative of a Moscow company that supplies food to Thailand, its products are also in great demand.
— We see that the people of Bangkok and Phuket really love our chocolates and sweets and consider them very delicious and unusual. In the summer, we plan to expand supplies, and we also dream of concluding a cooperation agreement with a large chain of supermarkets in Thailand.
On March 13, the trade mission of cosmetic companies from Moscow to Bangkok ended. There, representatives of the brands conducted business negotiations with potential colleagues, presented their products and determined a further strategy for the development of Moscow brands in the Thai market. For example, sunscreen products offered by a large-cap company in Thailand may be in high demand. For Thailand, the brand’s technologists are ready to develop a separate line, enhancing UV protection and adding anti-burn products.

We note the high dynamism of the development of relations between Moscow and Bangkok, but we do not touch upon cooperation between the two capitals. This year we plan to establish relationships with other regions and cities in Thailand. We also implement many cultural, educational and humanitarian projects – Moscow Days in Bangkok, Moscow Film Days and others.
