In Izyum, Russian invaders damaged or destroyed 80% of the buildings

As a result of the hostilities, Izyum’s infrastructure and housing stock suffered significant damage. According to preliminary estimates, 80% of the buildings are damaged or destroyed.

This was reported in Telegram Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reports Ukrinform.

“In this matter, we will turn to the territorial communities of the Lviv region, the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Kiev region and other regions for help. We count on support, unfortunately Izyum suffered the most from the invaders, the city was 80% destroyed. Everyone knows about it. Therefore, local authorities need to cooperate more closely,” said the head of the OVA.

In addition, the occupiers also destroyed special equipment, which appeared on Izyum’s balance sheet of public utilities.

Despite significant destruction and contamination of the area with explosive devices, restoration work continues. Ukrposhta was one of the first to resume work. Now bank branches have returned to the distraught communities.

As reported, most of the territory of the Izyum district, including the administrative center – the city of Izyum, was captured by Russian troops in the spring and liberated during a large-scale counter-offensive by the armed forces of Ukraine in September and early October.

To date, 80% of damaged electrical networks have been restored in the Izyumsky district of the Kharkov region.
