However, the girl’s mother entered the apartment and tried to stop the criminal. He demanded the code to the safe, then beat and stabbed her at least twice. The woman died instantly. The criminal, the investigative committee wrote, opened the safe and took from it more than two thousand dollars and other valuables. He threw all of this out the open window on the instructions of the scammers. He then stayed in the apartment and held the landlord’s daughter captive, and only the next day did the crooks allow him to let the girl go and leave the house himself.
