In Ukraine, a case was opened about the fact of betrayal of the army of the Russian Federation during the surrender

The Prosecutor’s Office has opened proceedings due to the Russian army’s imitation of surrender and the opening of fire on the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Boris Ivanov, spokesman for the Attorney General, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

According to him, the Lugansk Regional Prosecutor’s Office entered information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations about the fact that soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces committed treason.

Criminal proceedings were initiated for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier, a video appeared on the web, allegedly filmed during the surrender of Russians in the village of Makeevka, Lugansk region. Subsequently, one of the Russian soldiers, instead of laying down their weapons and surrendering, opened fire on the Ukrainian army. The bodies of the Russian army were also filmed. There is no video of the shooting itself.

As reported, on November 20, VR Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets informed that the Russians in the Lugansk region had surrendered and committed a war crime, opened fire to kill the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
