Erkan Tosun, who travels the streets with a megaphone in many parts of Istanbul and sells socks, is highly appreciated for his fun personality and love of profession.

Tosun started selling socks in Sultangazi 15 years ago with the motto “If there is no socks in a house, there will be no peace in that house”.

Tosun, who tries to sell socks on the streets and sometimes on the car with a megaphone or microphone in his hand, attracts great attention wherever he goes.

Tosun, who was also appreciated on social media with the videos he shot, told the AA correspondent about his love of the profession and his interest.

“I CAN’T LEAVE ANYONE WITHOUT SOCKS”

Stating that he is pleased to go around and sell socks, Tosun said, “I always love to serve. I take socks to the homes and workplaces of citizens. I travel around Istanbul. I am really happy when I sell socks in this neighborhood.”

Emphasizing that socks have an important place in daily life, Tosun said, “Dirty socks are never worn, they make the feet uncomfortable. I set out to never leave any citizen without socks, I will not leave anyone without socks. I have been doing this job for 15 years. I love my job.”

“NO SOCKS, NO PEACE”

Expressing that he was also pleased with the interest of the citizens, Tosun continued as follows:

“Everybody knows me. I’m famous in Sultangazi. In every building in 15 neighborhoods, there are citizens who buy socks from me. I thank everyone who does not buy space. I go up to their feet. If there is no socks in a house, there will be no peace in that house. If you ask why, dirty socks are never worn. Clean socks.” It’s always peaceful.”

Friends of tradesmen and citizens, who have known Tosun for many years, said that they loved him very much and that Tosun did his job well.
