The British Home Office has banned rapper Yee (aka Kanye West) from entering the country, the Wall Street Journal reported on April 7.
Organizers of the Wireless Festival, which was scheduled to take place in London in July, said authorities had barred West from entering due to negative public reaction to the rapper’s planned performance. Because of this, Festival Republic announced that it had canceled the festival at which West was scheduled to headline.
Previously, several major sponsors, including PepsiCo, Diageo and Anheuser-Busch InBev ABI, withdrew their support for the festival after West’s performance was revealed last week.
Kanye West is currently promoting his new album, “Bully,” which was released at the end of last March, and is trying to restore his reputation, which was damaged after his Nazi and anti-Semitic statements.
