No mobilization is planned in Belarus as announced in Russia by President Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday, Sept. 23.

“This mobilization is in Russia. The fact that they are trying to throw this bridge over us, what will we have … and if not? It would be you, the propagandists, who would be beaten. And they will get nothing for that. They have to create a situation for which “There will be no mobilization. This is a lie,” the Belarusian ruler was quoted as saying by the Pole of the First Telegram channel close to his press service.

Lukashenka promises not to participate in the war, but provides Russia with territory

At the beginning of July, Lukashenka also stated that “they are trying to drag Belarus into the war in Ukraine”. “I repeat what I said a year or more ago: we don’t want to fight in Ukraine,” Lukashenka said at the time. In August, he reiterated that Belarus had no plans to attack Ukraine. “Don’t think I’m planning some kind of attack here, we’ll bomb Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and so on. I don’t need you and my children to fight. In the name of what? We need to calm down “, he said.

At the same time, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Lukashenka has regularly made the territory of the country available to the Kremlin for an attack on Ukraine, which, as experts pointed outis considered military aggression in terms of: international right.

In one day invasion Russian tanks, including the territory of Ukraine, came from Belarus. In May, human rights activists calculated that more than 633 rocket launches.

A week before the mobilization, the Kremlin promised not to carry it out

The lack of plans to announce mobilization was also regularly discussed in the Kremlin, the last time being less than a week before Putin signed the accompanying decree. Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskovy then he said he was asked about “full mobilization”, and Putin announced “partial”.

“They asked me about full mobilization. I said there was no question. President Putin spoke about how the conditions for the special military operation had changed. Putin said we are faced with the military potential of NATO and other countries that give us being unfriendly,” Peskov emphasizes.
