Military lawyers gathered in St. Petersburg

More than 120 military lawyers, representing the central organs of the military command, types and types of troops of the Armed Forces of Russia, military districts, fleets, military educational institutions met (November 24-25) at the Central Maritime Museum in St. Petersburg, where they discussed issues of legal support for the activities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the priority areas of work of the Legal Service of the Armed Forces were summarized, the experience gained was exchanged and the tasks for the following year were determined. When planning the meeting, we proceeded from the instructions given to the armed forces and the need for their legal support,” said the director of the legal department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the event. During the meeting, military lawyers discussed issues such as improving the regulatory environment, military service, social protection of military personnel and their families. We discussed several situations that arise in the legal space during a particular military operation.

“Meeting participants shared their law enforcement practices in the field. During the meeting, the most eminent specialists of the legal service were rewarded with valuable gifts and kidney letters,” the military department said.
