Seven-time LA Clippers NBA All-Star Paul George was listed as questionable by the team ahead of tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz. George, who has already missed a game, is suffering from pain in his right knee.

“PG-13” played just 15 minutes in the Clippers’ landslide victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Despite limited action, he still finished with 21 points after making 8-12 field goal attempts, including 5-8 three-pointers. George also had a net rating of +25, the highest in the game.

The Clippers are still hopeful that Paul George can play, as he told team owner Steve Ballmer after a brief meeting:

“I’m fine, I’m fine. A little stiffness, but that’s okay. I’m fine.”

Paul George to Steve Ballmer – “I’m fine, I’m fine. A little sore, but it’s okay. I’m fine.”

After a poor 2-4 NBA start to the season, the LA Clippers have gone 8-3 in their last 11 games, mostly against Paul George. He was the Clippers’ best player and carried the team with little to no input from oft-injured superstar Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard is already back in the lineup but doesn’t seem to be in good shape yet. The Clippers will miss much of everything they run if George is sidelined.

Meanwhile, former NBA All-Star Zion Williamson could return for the New Orleans Pelicans after missing the last three games with a bruised right foot. The injury was apparently not serious, but the Pelicans wanted to err on the side of caution as Williamson sat out last season after breaking his foot.

The Pelicans are 2-1 in the last three games, but could definitely use Williamson against defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors. “Zanos” is averaging 23.5 points, leading the team, with 56.6% shooting.

Status alert: Zion Williamson (foot) officially likely for Monday.

Having their top scorer against the struggling Warriors defense should greatly improve the Pelicans’ chances of winning their game tonight.

Paolo Banchero, the first pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has missed the Orlando Magic’s last six games. He last saw action Nov. 7 against the Houston Rockets. His status remains questionable for tonight’s road game against the Indiana Pacers.

The Magic, however, have been remarkably stable without Banchero, who leads the team with 23.5 points in 11 games. They hold a 3-3 pair minus Duke’s former standout. Bol Bol, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs stepped up in Banchero’s absence.

The Pacers start a weekend streak tonight against Magic.

One reason not to like him: No. 1 pick Paolo Banchero is out with an ankle injury. Also absent: Fultz, Isaac, Anthony.

Indy native Gary Harris is questionable after making his season debut last night. Just like Wendell Carter Jr.

Prior to spraining his left ankle against the Rockets, Banchero posted only the first consecutive 30-point games of his NBA career.

Head coach Jamahl Mosley told the media after Saturday’s loss to the Pacers that Paolo Banchero was progressing as expected. He could be back on Friday when the Orlando Magic take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

Six-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 calf strain. Instead of the initial expectation that he’ll only miss a game or two, he’s now ready to miss a lot. more matches.

The Portland Trail Blazers will reevaluate Lillard in one to two weeks. Given the update, the 2012-13 NBA Rookie of the Year winner could be sidelined until early December.

The Blazers were one of the biggest surprises in the NBA this year after getting off to a 4-0 start. They went 6-6 after a hot start and could struggle even more as Damian Lillard rehabilitates his injured calf.

Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons and Josh Hart are expected to carry more of the scoring load without the Blazers franchise player.
