hello and welcome back to Impartialitya podcast about the startup business where we unpack the numbers and nuances behind the headlines.

This is our Wednesday show where we stick to one topic, think about the issue and reveal the rest. This week, Natasha asked: What does the venture capital breakthrough look like today and how is it changing? Alex as well as becca jumped on the mic to discuss this and start by updating our latest article: “4 Opinions on Unpaid Venture Internships”.

  • We discussed three directions of adventurism: the traditional route, the new wave and the tourism strategy. Each has its own pros and cons and includes everything from current funds to the actual definition of a partner.
  • We also talked more about the value of certain ramps and whether or not to destroy the network (or if it’s based more on track record)
  • We tried not to team up too much with the Dorm Room Fund, but chatted about why we were annoyed by their $12.5 million fund run by unpaid students and other initiatives we felt were better for those who trying to get into venture capital.
