New Zealander Hall burst into tears after Russia’s Bugaev won at the Paralympics

New Zealand athlete Adam Hall could not contain his emotions after his Russian teammate Alexei Bugaev beat him in the slalom competition and took first place in the Paralympics. Bugaev brought the national team his eighth gold medal.

The six-person Russian team took third place in the medal standings at the XIV Winter Paralympics in Italy. Russian athletes won 12 awards in the competition: 8 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.

Shortly before that, it became known that Russian skater Anastasia Bajyan won the 20 km time trial at the Paralympic Games.

On March 11, Bagian won the 10 km time trial race. Then the skater won the second Paralympic gold medal in her career. The day before that, she took first place in the classic sprint race.

Russian President Vladimir Putin later congratulated the skaters Anastasia Bajyan and Varvara Voronchikhina on their victory. He pointed out that Baghyan was able to win the gold medal thanks to her excellent preparation, stability and personality.
