The Dallas Cowboys are coming off their most dominant performance of the season and possibly the strongest of Dak Prescott’s career. Dallas’ loss to the Minnesota Vikings was more than just a show of power. In the mind of one NFL analyst, the performance made him believe the team could finally break through in January.

When asked directly on Get Up if the team could reach the Super Bowl, NFL analyst Ryan Clark said yes. Here’s how he said it:

“Yeah. What they showed you is that you have to start counting them with the elite of the NFC.”

Overall, aside from Dallas, most would agree that it wasn’t a good day for the NFC’s top-ranked teams. The Philadelphia Eagles surprisingly nearly lost 9-1 to the Indianapolis Colts 4-6-1 led by the interim head coach. Meanwhile, the New York Giants, now 7-3, lost to the Detroit Lions 4-6.

At 7-3, Dallas sits in second place in what turned out to be a tough split. The Washington Commanders sit in fourth place at 6-5 in a rare over .500 sighting with a win over the Eagles under their belt. Meanwhile, the New York Giants slipped to third place at 7-3 after their loss to Detroit.

The Philadelphia Eagles still lead the division at 9-1, leading most Cowboys fans to circle their next meeting with them on the calendar. The next and potentially final battle between the two teams is set to take place on Christmas Eve at 1:25 p.m. EST.

I haven’t seen a team play a better game all year overall. I haven’t seen Dak Prescott play a better big game since winning his one and only playoff game. He was up to Cooper Rush. After @undisputednow on FS1. twitter.com/undisputed/sta…

After that, Dallas will have two more games to eventually catch up with the Eagles. Following this divisional confrontation, Dallas will face the Tennessee Titans and the Washington Commanders in Week 18. Will the Cowboys manage to supplant the Eagles for control of the NFC East?
