Actor and film producer Nikolai Jarrow has died at the age of 88, the Eldar Ryazanov Museum said, citing Jarrow’s family.

Nikolai Garo graduated from VGIK in 1978. As an actor, he is known for his role as a refrigerated truck driver in “Prisoner of the Caucasus” and for his role as the ruler of the planet Plyuk, Mr. PZh, in the tragicomedy “Kin-dza-dza!” Georgy Danelia. Jarrow also starred in cameo roles in the films “Tears Were Dripping” (1982), “Hello, Fools!” (1996), “Silver Lily of the Valley” (2000) and others.

In addition, Nikolai Garo, who graduated from the Faculty of Economics at VGIK, has been a producer of several films, including those directed by Eldar Ryazanov. Jarrow worked as a project manager at the Mosfilm film studio, and since 1995 as general director of the Luch Film Studio.
