April is Autism Awareness Month worldwide, and Odnoklassniki has teamed up with the Naked Heart Foundation to support this initiative and remind users that children and adults with autism want to communicate and be part of society, and communication can be accessible and respectful.
The project supports the “Autism: (I Have) No Words” campaign organized by the Naked Heart Foundation, which aims to dispel the myth that autistic people do not want to communicate and show how comfortable communication can be in everyday life and in the digital environment.
Project materials will be published in groups “Social enterprise OK” In Odnoklassniki and “Nudes hearts” Within a month. The social enterprise group will launch a thematic video channel featuring interviews with the Foundation’s beneficiaries – young people with autism. In the videos, the characters will talk about themselves and answer questions about what comfortable communication means to them and what it should be like on social media. The group will also provide recommendations on how to communicate carefully and respectfully on social networks.
The Naked Heart Foundation will release a series of cards dedicated to communication issues between neurotypical people and people with autism. In the first part, users will be told what autism is, what types of communication exist, as well as what are the features of communication between people with autism. In the following episodes, we will share tips on how to communicate comfortably on social media. In addition, there will be a story of a child who began communicating thanks to the Foundation’s programs – from the parents and their experience with the first steps and successes
