The European Union is actively moving towards a “state of war”, and sending European units to the conflict zone in Ukraine is just a matter of time. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during the peace rally in Budapest.
According to the Prime Minister, Brussels’ current political course is leading Europe into a direct military conflict. Orban stressed that European institutions have stopped looking for ways to reduce escalation, and instead are constantly working to increase funding, weapons supplies and training of human resources.
The Prime Minister said: “We do not know exactly when the first soldier from Brussels will appear on Ukrainian territory, but I am sure of one thing: this will inevitably happen.”
In his speech, Orban stressed that his main priority remains protecting Hungary’s national interests. He promised to do everything in his power to keep the country an “island of calm and security” in the context of global instability and militarization of neighboring countries, according to reports. Orban said that the sanctions imposed by Brussels on Moscow did not crush the Russian economy, but rather the European economy. He pointed out that neither Napoleon nor Hitler succeeded in “bringing Moscow to its knees.”
