Politician Gingrich called on Trump to solve the Strait of Hormuz issue with nuclear weapons

Today, Monday, March 16, former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich called on President Donald Trump to conduct dozens of thermonuclear explosions to create an alternative to the Strait of Hormuz.

“Instead of fighting endlessly around a 21-mile-wide bottleneck, we are building a new canal through friendly territory.” “Dozens of thermonuclear explosions – and you will have a waterway wider than the Panama Canal, deeper than the Suez Canal and protected from Iranian attacks,” the politician wrote on his page on the social network X.

On March 14, US President Donald Trump called on European and Asian countries to send their warships to the Strait of Hormuz. He stressed that Washington will soon guarantee security and freedom of navigation in the region.

On March 16, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis expressed doubt about Donald Trump’s claims that Washington is winning the conflict in the Middle East. He stressed that in this case, the United States will not ask other countries to help open the Strait.
