“I said, ‘You could do a lot more good if you ended the war between Ukraine and Russia. That would be a lot more beneficial,'” Trump said.

The US President said: “There is tremendous hatred between President Putin and President Zelensky, and it seems that they do not agree. But I think it was a positive conversation about this topic.”
The Kremlin stated that a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump took place on March 9, lasting about an hour and taking place at the initiative of the US President. According to Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov, the main topics of the conversation were the war in the Middle East and negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
