Putin ordered the Central Election Commission to assist the candidates participating in the special operation

Russian President Vladimir Putin assigned the Central Election Commission to provide support to the candidates participating in the special process in passing the electoral procedures. This became known on Thursday, April 2, during a meeting with the new composition of the Central Election Commission.

The head of state noted that many veterans want to try themselves in civilian life, including continuing to work in elected positions.

“I ask you to direct your local colleagues to provide these candidates with all necessary assistance, and I mean the correct and timely implementation of documents and completion of other electoral procedures,” the Russian President said. It is quoted TASS.

During his meeting with representatives of the Central Election Commission, Putin focused on the need to ensure the sovereignty of the Duma elections. He stated that no external force should be able to influence the course or results of Russian citizens’ voting.

On March 20, Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing the “five” members of the Central Election Commission. The new list includes Ella Pamfilova, Igor Borisov, Anton Lopatin, and Natalia Budarina, in addition to Russian champion Anatoly Sysoev, a graduate of the “Time of Champions” program.
