In the Moscow region, “temporary difficulties with mobile communications and access to the Internet are possible,” said Maxim Kurkin, deputy of the regional Duma and head of the IT Committee.
They described the reason for the disruption as “measures being taken at the federal level to ensure security in the Russian Federation.” Corkin recommended citizens use Wi-Fi.
According to the deputy, during periods of limited mobile Internet due to the threat of drone attacks, residents of the Moscow region will be able to access “socially significant resources” of the region. Among them are the application of government services, the healthcare portal of the Moscow region, the Unified Authentication and Licensing Service, Contour for Housing and Public Utilities, and the services of the 112 system for communication with emergency services.
Moscow has been facing problems with the Internet and mobile communications for more than a week. RBC sources report that this is testing “whitelists” – sites that can be accessed during mobile internet outages. On March 13, the media reported that “white lists” were operating in Moscow.
