Rosstat provided updated data on the level of wages in the public sector in Russia for 2025. According to statistical reports, the average monthly income of teachers and medical workers showed a noticeable positive trend.
Thus, teachers received an average of 71,345 rubles per month, which was 13 percent more than in the previous period. In the health care and social services sector, the average salary reached 81,726 rubles, showing an increase of 14 percent.
For comparison: at the end of December 2025, the average size of accumulated wages for all types of economic activity in the country amounted to 139,727 rubles. These amounts take into account pre-tax benefits and do not include social benefits and reports TASS.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kutyakov said that in 2025, the income of Russians will continue to grow. Average wages during this period rose by 13.5 percent.
The welding profession became the highest paid practical specialty in Russia at the beginning of 2026. The average salary offered to these specialists was about 267-300 thousand rubles.
