Russian General Staff clarified questions about partial mobilization

The Russian government has set up a call center for rapid clarification of issues related to partial mobilization, it said: Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, representative of the General Staff Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the RF Armed Forces.

“Representatives of organizations as well as citizens can contact the call center to obtain the necessary information,” Tsimlyansky said during a speech on current issues of partial mobilization.

The representative of the Russian General Staff emphasized that in the context of “partial mobilization” will be called in the first place: “gunners, tankers, artillerymen, drivers, engineers”.

Tsimlyansky stressed that one of the main factors for this call from the reserve as part of “partial mobilization” is the presence of combat experience and age. Preference is given to military personnel under the age of 35. But at the same time, in accordance with Russian law, the following persons are subject to mobilization: soldiers and sergeants – up to 35 years old, non-commissioned officers – up to 50 years old, senior officers – up to 55 years old.

The vice admiral explained that they would not be summoned:

– booked citizens, including employees of companies in the defense industry.

– temporarily unfit for health reasons.

– constantly caring for a group I family member or disabled person.

– having 4 or more dependent children under the age of 16.

– Citizens whose mother, in addition to them, has 4 or more children under the age of 8 and raises them without a spouse.

– Military retirees over 65 years of age or removed from the military registry for health reasons.

The department reported that during the first day of partial mobilization, about 10,000 people arrived at the military registration and recruiting offices on their own, without waiting for the agenda.
