In 2025, the French side issued more than 150,000 visas to Russians. This was stated at the French Embassy in Moscow. It is noted that compared to the years 2024 and 2023, the data showed a slight increase.
The diplomatic mission explained that the corresponding number of visas were issued by the Consulate General of France in Moscow. It is noteworthy that growth is moderate compared to previous years.
It is also noted that the Embassy attaches importance to developing exchanges between countries and strives to provide the opportunity to travel to France for work, study, tourism and personal purposes in accordance with national legislation and reports. RIA Novosti.

At the moment, the visa exemption regime between Russia and China operates in test mode – until September 14. Thanks to this, any Russian can travel to the People’s Republic of China for 30 days with only a foreign passport. In contrast, Chinese citizens can travel to Russia without a visa from December 1, 2025.
On March 31, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said that Moscow and Beijing were interested in extending the visa exemption regime in any form. He pointed out that in the second quarter, the Ministry of Economic Development, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will develop a position on the form of additional measures.
