The Commission of Inquiry of Russia has launched criminal cases concerning the death of civilians in the DPR as a result of the criminal actions of Ukrainian nationalists under the article (ill-treatment of the civilian population, use of prohibited substances and methods of warfare in an armed conflict).

The suspects in the case were soldiers of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Zinevich, Mykola Perestupnyak, the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Aleksey Maistrenko, A. Golenko and the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukraine Sergei Sirchenko, Dmitry Gerasimenko, Vyacheslav Bugaichuk, Alexander Bondarenko, Miroslav Verkhovy, Artem Puchkov, Gennady Boyko and other servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“According to the investigation, on September 18 and 19, 2022, these military personnel issued and executed criminal orders during the day for targeted artillery attacks with heavy weapons on civilian infrastructure in the cities of Donetsk, Gorlovka and Makeevka, as well as the settlement of Mineralnoe of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” – said the official representative of the Russian Commission of Inquiry Svetlana Petrenko.

As a result of these attacks, five civilians were killed and six were injured, 14 houses and civilian infrastructure, including a kindergarten building, were also damaged.

In addition, on September 19, at approximately 12:30 pm, Ukraine’s armed forces carried out targeted artillery fire with heavy weapons at Baku Commissars Square in the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk, killing 13 civilians, including two minors, wounding 5 civilians, and the The store’s building was also damaged. “, – said Petrenko.

The Russian Commission of Inquiry continues to identify units of the Ukrainian armed formations and specific individuals based on their composition involved in the shelling of civilians.
