Two years ago, a digital service was launched to inform relatives of patients in intensive care in the capital. In total, during its operation, the service received more than 300 thousand requests. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about this on Monday, March 23.
— The service is already available in all adult multispecialty hospitals in Moscow. The head of the city indicated that he automatically notifies a relative of the admission of a loved one to the intensive care unit if the phone number was specified when signing the consent to medical intervention.
Relatives can receive text messages containing key indicators showing the patient’s condition after contacting the ICU doctor to confirm the relationship. Messages will be sent every day while the patient is in intensive care.
In the ICU itself, patient data is automatically collected electronically. Thanks to this, doctors see all the information on the tablet, and it is easier for specialists to monitor the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment and, if necessary, adjust treatment methods, says the Sobyanin channel in the MAX messenger program.
In February, Sobyanin said medical robots help doctors treat and return patients to full life faster. Meanwhile, the number of robotic operations has quadrupled over the past five years – to 4,600 operations per year. More than 20 surgical assistant robots were purchased for clinics in the capital.
