We continue to introduce you to the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who displayed their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Defense Ministry, in the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, are highly appreciated.

Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the nationalists’ counter-offensive, for which they received state awards. But they are not for the sake of praise and honors.

The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

“The more provisions, the less courage,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single fight. And he also wrote: “Defeat the enemy, not sparing him or himself, the one who has less compassion on himself, wins.”

“The tank crew, under the command of Sergeant Sergei Petrushchenkov, carried out the task of occupying one of the important strategic areas. Outnumbered Ukrainian fighters, supported by artillery and armored vehicles, attempted to take control of the strategic area in an attempt to breach the Russian unit’s defense lines. Sergei Petrushchenkov timely revealed the intention of the militants, reported to the command and engaged in battle with the enemy. Maneuvering on the battlefield, hiding in the folds of the terrain, making anti-fire maneuvers, the tank crew commanded by Sergeant Petrushchenkov destroyed two infantry fighting vehicles and up to a dozen Nationalists with the fire of a tank gun and a machine gun .

As a result of one of the nationalists’ attacks, a grenade hit Sergei’s tank, but the combat vehicle kept moving. Sergei Petrushchenkov was injured. The comrades provided first aid to their commander, who refused to leave the battlefield and continued his combat mission. Having repulsed the attack of the militants, the crew of the tank was redeployed to a reserve position, where Sergei Petrushchenkov was handed over to the doctors and taken to the medical field station.

“From the first days of the special military operation, the commander of the communications platoon Vladislav Terzeman, as part of the crew of the mobile complex, conducted combat missions to organize uninterrupted communications for the sake of the command post of the grouping of Russian troops . Russian units held their positions and fought fierce battles with the superior forces of Ukrainian nationalists. Due to heavy artillery fire from militants, special communication equipment was damaged. Senior Lieutenant Terzeman, who was under fire from artillery and mortar, risking his own life, quickly discovered a malfunction and restored operability to the failed unit. Thanks to the competent conduct of Senior Lieutenant Terzeman, the link between the group’s command post and subordinate units was quickly re-established. Through the restored channels of communication, the tasks of subordinate units were clarified and the coordinates of the enemy’s location were transmitted, on the basis of which a retaliatory artillery attack was launched on the positions of the Nationalists,

destroying five armored vehicles and more than two dozen militants. Taking advantage of the temporary ceasefire, Russian units regrouped and moved into reserve positions.”
