Switzerland has adopted the eighth package of sanctions against Russia

The Swiss government has fully implemented all the measures of the eighth package of sanctions adopted by the European Union in response to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This decision by the Swiss government in particular has implications for the introduction of a legal framework for determining marginal prices for Russian crude oil and petroleum products.

These sanctions also include restrictions on “iron and steel products, aerospace products and goods of economic importance Russiaas well as a ban on providing technical, architectural, legal and IT services to the Russian government and Russian companies.

Switzerland has therefore fully implemented all the measures of the eighth package of EU sanctions adopted by the European Union on October 6, 2022 in response to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The sanctions will take effect on Wednesday, November 23 at 7 p.m. Kyiv time.

As Ukrinform reported, the Swiss government announced the imposition of sanctions against Iran for supplying the Russian Federation with attack drones, which use them in the war against Ukraine.
