Users noticed that Telegram messenger was practically not working in the last few days.
On the Downdetector and Sboy.rf websites, the number of complaints has been increasing since the weekend. Users write that the messenger does not work “in any way”: the application does not open, messages cannot be sent, photos and videos are not loaded. Complaints come from different regions, most of all from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.
According to the “sboi.rf” website. Lead “Kommersant FM” on Saturday, March 14 complained about incorrect operation of the messenger almost six thousand times, on Sunday – 12 thousand times.
Experts interviewed by the newspaper believe that blocking the messaging program has already begun. According to the author of “The Durov Code” Vladislav Voytenko, the messenger does not actually work in the last 24 hours when calling from home providers, and “you can forget about Telegram working over the mobile Internet.” He points out that if only sites from the “whitelist” are active in a particular city, “most VPN services will not help you log in to Telegram.”
President of the Association of Telecom Operators MAKATEL Alexey Amelkin says that there has been a “slowdown” for a long time, but the day before there were complaints that the desktop version of the messenger stopped working.
