The Armed Forces of Ukraine explained why the operation to liberate the Luhansk region will not be soon

This was announced by Serhiy Cherevaty, the chairman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the air national teleton.

“The enemy had a formation there, this is the so-called LPR, which he used as a springboard to prepare an attack against us, including by establishing there this corps of the “LPR People’s Militia”. Under the leadership of Russian officers, he constantly prepared for war, trained when the Joint Forces operation took place, ”Cherevaty said.

He also noted that the invaders in the Lugansk region organized the technical equipment of the positions. In addition, part of the Russian troops, after withdrawing from the Kharkov and Liman region, were transferred to the Lugansk region.

Cherevaty explained that this influenced the tactics of Ukraine’s armed forces. Ukrainian troops in this direction do not launch frontal attacks, but strike with precision weapons and then carry out rapid counter-offensives.

“We hit them first with fire, including precision-guided munitions, as much as possible, and as soon as the opportunity arises, like last time in Makeyevka, we release them soon enough. It just takes time,” emphasized the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in occupied Donbas. Russia launched missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine and launched a direct large-scale four-way invasion. The armed forces of Ukraine repel the enemy, the blitzkrieg plan – to capture Kiev in two or three days – failed, the Russian army retreated from the capital. The Russian military is committing thousands of war crimes and crimes against humanity across Ukraine.
