The Astronaut Museum was opened 45 years ago. One of the largest scientific and technical exhibitions in Russia was created there. Last year alone it was visited more than 770,000 times. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Sunday, April 12.

Also, eight years ago, the Center for Astronautics and Aviation was opened at VDNKh. The exhibition has already been visited by more than 4.1 million people. It displays 120 examples of aircraft and space technology, exhibits from military-industrial enterprises, more than two thousand rare archival documents, photographs and video materials.
On April 12, Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the city on Cosmonautics Day. He pointed out that the names of space heroes were immortalized in the names of many streets and squares in Moscow.
