According to Ukrainian media, Kot voluntarily joined the Ukrainian army in February 2022. Before that, he owned a chain of fast food restaurants in Khmelnytskyi. During his service, he trained in Germany, where he mastered work with the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, after which he went to the front lines as an operator.
