“On November 24, near the forest belt in the village of Podoli, Kupyansky district, prosecutors, together with police investigators, dug up the bodies of two local residents – men aged 28 and 39. According to the preliminary version of the investigation , in mid-September, when the village was still occupied, they were shot by the army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “, – reported the UCP.
According to local residents, the car the men were traveling in stopped at the Russian checkpoint, after which machine gun fire rang out.
On the bodies of the dead, law enforcement officers found gunshot wounds to the torso and head. The exhumed bodies were sent for forensic examination.
On the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with willful murder (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code) a preliminary investigation has been started.
