The Dutch parliament recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism

The Dutch parliament called Russia’s actions against the civilian population in Ukraine terrorism and Russia the state sponsor of terrorism.

“The House of Representatives has recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism because of the war in Ukraine,” the statement said.

It is noted that most parties, in particular VVD, D66, PvdA, CDA, supported the proposal of Member of Parliament Tom van der Lee of GroenLinks (Green Left).

The vast majority of parties support the government’s policy of supporting Ukraine as much as possible in the humanitarian, diplomatic and military fields.

This is reported by Ukrinform, the European Parliament recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. The vote took place in Strasbourg during the plenary session of the European Parliament.

494 deputies voted in favor of this document, 58 – against, 44 others abstained.
