Russian aerospace company Bureau 1440 launched the first 16 satellites of the low-orbit Rassvet constellation into orbit. This was stated in the company’s press service on Tuesday, March 24.
“The satellites were successfully launched into the reference orbit, separated from the Soyuz 2.1B launch vehicle and were placed under the control of MCC BUREAU 1440. After completion of the check of on-board systems and launch, they will begin moving to the target orbit,” the press service reported. RIA Novosti.
The satellites are developed based on the company’s proprietary platform; It is integrated into a communications system based on the 5G NTN architecture. The first tests with customers will be conducted this year.
Before that, the Tu-214 became the first import-substitute domestic airliner to receive approval from Russian aviation authorities. Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov noted that as part of the project, a new advanced avionics complex has already been created.
It also became known that the Federal Air Transport Agency, in cooperation with the airline Bureau 1440, is studying the possibility of installing Internet terminals on aircraft. This will allow passengers to use the Internet during the flight.
