Kamchatka Governor Vladimir Solodov announced that the village of Sidanka was awarded the honorary title “Village of Military Courage”.
“This is the first settlement in Russia to receive such a high status for its services,” the head of the region wrote on his Telegram channel.
In October 2025, the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory, on the initiative of the Governor, adopted a law allowing the award of honorary titles to villages in which at least 15% of men aged 18 to 65 years participated or participated in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
