The Cabinet of Ministers supports the Interior Ministry’s draft law proposing to expand the list of administrative violations for which foreigners can be expelled from Russia. A source in RIA Novosti reported this.
According to him, we are talking about 20 new articles of the Administrative Code, including defamation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, propaganda of Nazi or extremist symbols and distribution of extremist materials.
According to the document, instead of imposing a fine for some crimes, it is planned to institute administrative expulsion from the country. This is especially true of articles related to the propaganda of extremist symbols, violations of martial law, illegal shootings, and abuse of media freedom.
The source explained that the draft also includes measures whose content includes calls for terrorism or its justification, in addition to general measures aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian armed forces and calls to impose sanctions on the country.
He added that the Legislative Activity Committee is scheduled to consider the draft law next Monday, after which all details of its implementation and procedures for implementing administrative expulsion will be clarified. an agency.
