Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the disruption of mobile communications in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other large cities.

“All disconnections and restrictions on communications are carried out in strict accordance with current legislation,” Peskov said (quote from the “I listened” channel on Telegram).

He said that cutting off mobile communications and the Internet is related to “the basic necessity of ensuring security.”

Peskov admitted that the communications disruption creates “problems for business,” which he said was “a subject for further analysis.”

“As the experience is analyzed, different solutions will of course be proposed to the problems that unfortunately accompany these restrictions,” he said.
