The Ministry of Defense showed a modernized Kh-29 TD missile

The Russian Defense Ministry has released images of combat flights by crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers to destroy the military infrastructure facilities of Ukraine’s armed forces during a special military operation. Aircraft pass through potentially dangerous areas in low flight and then abruptly, almost in a vertical position, fly into the sky and immediately disappear behind the clouds.

The military department says they are there to capture the target and make launches, after which they turn to the airport.

But the Ukrainian military began to complain that their military equipment was being destroyed by strange drones or loitering ammunition. No one even has time to watch them fly up. But they confidently stock up on military equipment, even when they’re en route. The American “Haymars” fired back, immediately withdrew from position and accelerated only as some kind of grenade caught up with him.

In the images of the Ministry of Defense, the navigator of the Su-34. He gently strokes the missile under the wing of the plane like a hunter on a greyhound, remarking: “With the X-29 missile you can destroy any targets that stand in its way. We focus on, then, when we complete the binding, the warhead captured the target, it is carried out from a distance of, say, 20-30 km, and then it flies right at the target. We mainly work on ground targets such as hangars, collecting manpower in a certain place. In order to use this missile, the crew must undergo special training.”

However, NATO suspects that a homing system is hidden under the glass “eye” of the upgraded X-29TD, which has its own thermal imager. It is he who allows you to catch in the forest the armored vehicles of the enemy in sight, even on a warm path in the sky, which was left by a running engine. So it’s just unrealistic for American and many other Ukrainian combat vehicles to get away from such a missile. Sooner or later they will meet their X-29, and perhaps another invention of the Russian military-industrial complex.

It should be noted that during combat flights, the crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers also use many other air-to-surface guided high-precision missiles. They are all designed to destroy enemy strongholds and fortified targets in different conditions.

“The crews perform tasks to defeat enemy ground targets, destroy air defense systems. High-precision weapons make it possible to conduct a combat mission from a great distance using different sighting systems…”, notes Anton, deputy commander of the aviation squadron.
