The Ministry of Digital Development proposed banning the registration of second-level domains in the Russian Federation by “undesirable” organizations. The relevant draft resolution has been published on the Legal Acts portal.
According to the ministry’s proposal, domains in the .ru, .su and .ref zones will not be available to “extremist” organizations and terrorist groups, as well as persons included in the register of terrorists and extremists maintained by Rosfinmonitoring.
