The prosecutor requested 7.5 years imprisonment for the ex-husband of blogger Lerchek Artem Chekalin in the case of transferring more than 250 million rubles to the UAE. The announcement was made on Friday, April 10, at the Gagarinsky Court in Moscow.
In addition, the official insisted that Shikalin’s correction was possible only in conditions of isolation from society.
“I ask that Shikalin be sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of 196 million 921 thousand rubles,” says the prosecutor. RIA Novosti.
The former spouses withdrew more than 250 million rubles from the country to the UAE. They earned this money by selling fitness marathons. Business partner Roman Vishnyak pleaded guilty to the crime. He is cooperating with the investigation.
