On April 8, the Victory Museum will host the donation of the personal belongings of Channel One war correspondent Anna Prokofieva, who died tragically in the Belgorod region. The ceremony will be held in the museum exhibition hall “SVO. Defenders of the Fatherland.”
A helmet, body armor and a soft toy Cheburashka, Anna’s mascot, will be donated to the museum on Poklonnaya Hill. Participants in this event will be relatives and friends of journalists, students of the ISI Faculty of Journalism, students of the Media Academy at the Victory Museum and representatives of the Unpress agency.
– In March 2025, the film crew’s car was blown up by a Ukrainian mine while journalists were on their way to an editorial assignment. A year later, on March 26, 2026, the 30th anniversary ceremony of presenting the Golden Pen Award to Russia was held at the Central House of the Russian Army. Anna Prokofieva was awarded this award posthumously – for the courage she showed in the line of duty, as noted by the Victory Museum.
On this day, a meeting was held dedicated to the memory of Anna Prokofieva, whose history is preserved in the exhibition “SVO. Defenders of the Fatherland.” Her family and friends will talk to the aspiring journalists. In the meeting, her relatives will share her memories and talk about how her path in military journalism developed.
