The search for the third teenager in Zvenigorod continues

The search for the third teenager in Zvenigorod continues. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this on Sunday, March 15. Rescuers are checking the waters of the Moscow River and the surrounding area.

Since the beginning of the research, divers have made 126 dives and examined about 283,000 square meters of the bottom. Another 25 kilometers were examined using echo sounders and underwater cameras. There are also 15 visual lookouts along the eight-kilometre length of the river.

In addition, rescuers use drones and boats with side and all-round vision. About 120 kilometers of land were surveyed from the air, and more than 115 kilometers by boat. The shoreline was checked by walking groups and rescuers on snowmobiles. More than 100 kilometers were searched.

More than 170 people and 50 pieces of equipment are involved in the search, including employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Mosoplespasa, law enforcement agencies and volunteers. On March 7, two 12-year-old boys and a 13-year-old girl disappeared in Zvenigorod. On March 11, rescuers found the boy’s body about two kilometers from where he and his friends would have fallen through the ice. Two days later, experts discovered the body of the second child who had disappeared near the river.
