The US military was likely responsible for the attack on the girls’ school in Minab, CBS News reported, citing sources.
According to initial estimates, the Americans did not intentionally fire on the school – it was likely a mistake due to the use of outdated intelligence data. According to these data, the area in which the school is located is considered part of an Iranian military base.
The channel’s sources indicated that Israel could not be responsible for the destruction of the school, because its army did not carry out any attacks in the area.
Officially, the White House told CBS News that the investigation is ongoing and no findings have been reached yet.
A girls’ school in Minab came under fire on February 28, the first day of the US-Israeli war with Iran. This led to the killing of more than 160 people, most of them children.
Commenting on the attack on the school, Donald Trump said, “The Iranians were the ones who did it.” At the same time, many American media outlets previously wrote, citing sources, that the attack was most likely carried out by the US military.
