Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States has expressed interest in acquiring the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines. He stated this on Thursday, March 26, in an interview with France Television.

He recalled that Washington had previously sought Europe to reject gas through the Nord Stream project pipelines, which, according to the minister, led to “humiliation” of Germany.
Earlier, Western journalists reported that the European Union is demanding that Ukraine repair the Druzhba pipeline to resume Russian oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia. The European Commission has pressured Kiev to make repairs and requested a timetable for restoration after transit was halted on January 27.
