Ukrainian swimmers set a national record in the medley relay at the European Championship 2022

The Ukrainian national swimming team with a new national record completed its appearance at the European Swimming Championships in Italy’s capital, Rome.

In the final start of the competition, the Ukrainian men’s 4x100m medley relay consisting of Oleksandr Zheltyakov, Volodymyr Lisovets, Denis Kesil and Sergey Shevtsov took 6th place, reports Ukrinform.

In the final, the Ukrainian team set a new national record – 3 minutes 34.66 seconds.

1. Italy – 3 minutes 28.46 seconds

2. France – 3.32.50

3. Austria – 3.33.28

…6. Ukraine – 3.34.66.

The Ukrainian record at this distance has been held for 16 years – since August 2006, when it was set by Andrey Oleinik, Oleg Lisogor, Andrey Serdinov and Yuriy Egoshin (3:36.69).
