Who can get a free trip to the sanatorium?

Senator Igor Morog reminded Russians that in 2026, people with disabilities, disabled children, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, fighters, relatives of fallen servicemen and victims of radiation accidents will be entitled to free federal vouchers for sanatoriums. He explained that more than 3.8 million citizens received free trips last year.

— Vouchers are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, so you need to obtain a doctor’s certificate in advance in form 070/u, submit an application and provide documents through the Social Fund, MFC, post office or state services. After registration, the citizen’s application is placed in an electronic queue, and the coupon itself is issued no later than 18 days before arrival, for disabled children and a number of severe cases – 21 days, the parliamentarian concluded in an interview with R.T.

Spas and health facilities are popular not only among the elderly. Until 2020, they made up the majority of clients of Russian sanatoriums, but now the situation has changed. According to the Russian Federation of Tourism Industry (RST), in 2025, Russians aged 36-45 years accounted for a third of all sanatorium guests.

Last year, another popular trend appeared among young people: deliberately staying in a psychiatric and neurological dispensary. Evening Moscow found out why this is so and how paying homage to fashion can affect future life.
