WWE Superstar Ricochet recently opened up about career comparisons between himself and The Rock.
Before taking Hollywood by storm, The Great One was one of WWE’s biggest stars, as over the years he created an in-ring persona that transcended not only the wrestling business, but also mainstream media.
During a recent interview with Power 106 Los Angeles, Ricochet was asked if he sees himself carving out a similar career in WWE and outside of it as The Brahama Bull did.
“I definitely see more in my future, I absolutely do and especially now that I’ve just returned to NXT, and I’ve had a chance to show a bit and I think now I’ll be able to show and tell the world what I want to say and talk like I want to talk. So I think all of those aspects, I think there’s a lot of potential out there that’s still untapped and is about to be tapped, obviously The Rock is a huge inspiration to me, everyone knows this.” [11:00 to 11:45]

Ricochet’s WWE career had a slow rise, with the odd championship win along the way. After Triple H took over as creative helm from Vince McMahon in July, the high-flyer has had a match nearly every week.
The Rock saw WWE gold in Ricochet’s future
The gravity-defying entertainer signed to the company in 2018, after a stellar run on the indie wrestling scene.
With his unique moves and charisma, many people, including The Rock, saw great things in him, which led the former WWE Champion to social media to praise the SmackDown superstar.
“He’s the man! I love what King is doing and will undoubtedly be the leader who ushers in a new era of our wrestling business. Future champion.”
Since becoming part of World Wrestling Entertainment, Ricochet has won various singles titles including the North American, American and NXT Intercontinental Championships.
